Six years ago when I returned to NZ after many years overseas, I started a weeding group called Huia Weed Warriors. We are still going and we have transformed an area in Huia. At the school I teach at, I am the lead teacher for the Travelwise programme and we have just got our bronze award. We have planted lots of natives in our school grounds including a lovely stand of Kowhai.
