Clarevale Reserve Weeders
Start Date: 1 pm - Sunday, August 26, 2012
End Date: 4pm - Sunday, August 26, 2012
The Clarevale Reserve is in a corner of Travis Wetland in Burwood, Christchurch (near QE II Park). It's a wetland environment, being restored from an almost entirely exotic, weedy state, the weeds being tackled are mostly blackberry, gorse, grey willow, convolvulus, broom and introduced grasses. This weedbusting is in association with a scientific study on the restoration of kahikatea forest. The project has been running for 8 years.

Volunteers need to bring working clothes and gumboots, gloves and tools are provided.

The Clarevale Reserve Weedbusters are a small group so weeding bee times can be variable. Sometimes the group meets on Sunday afternoons instead of Saturday, so please contact Dave Evans 03 3660628 or 021 0437128 or at dave.evans@alliedtelesis.co.nz to confirm weeding bee dates.
