Alan is singlehandedly tackling rhamnus infestations in Howick/Bucklands Beach area. He is approaching private land owners to gain permission for him to treat their plants and then does the work himself including removing plant material. Alan has also secured support and a small amount of funding from the local Community Board to run a community working bee. Alan is tireless in his efforts and is a great advocate for rhamnus removal. His efforts are making a significant contribution to the ARC s containment zone programme.
