Part of a group that work together and on our own at times. We all do independent, individual weedbusting usually in our own areas, but also on occasion further afield - from West Harbour to Peach Reserve. Mainly we target moth plant - and sometimes woolly nightshade. More occasionally we will target other nasties
- from madeira vina to wild ginger.
The desired outcome is to control the spread of moth plant and woolly nightshade in the Auckland area - since eradication is obviously impossible. Often that entails door knocking and handing out leaflets in order to obtain permission to enter private property. In over 99% of cases that has never been a barrier.
We are blessed by support from Auckland City in the form of tools and herbicide.
