The Governors Bay Landcare Group is still weed busting in a small way. The earthquakes here slowed everything, but the weeds down. Our target weed is old man’s beard, but other weed issues are kept before the community via our Community Association newsletter. These weeds are sycamore, banana passionfruit and boneseed. Our group also mixes herbicide gel and makes it available to the community at cost price.
